Myles from Home

Myles from Home is a singer-songwriter who sings, plays guitar and harmonica and enjoys spending time outdoors naked. His friends call him Beach Santa. He splits his time between measuring neutrons from nuclear fusion experiments and co-fronting the band Gnarfunkel. He has released two self-produced albums, the latest in 2019, entitled “Reading, Riting and Rithmetic”.

“Myles just has one of those voices. It’s an offspring from the “classic” era of rock when amps were stacked on amps and the louder you sang, the harder you rocked. Though the Linden, Manitoba native channels his inner rock god, as heard from the songs in his [recordings], he does so quietly amongst folk-rock instrumentation.” -Gray Owl Point

ReeVay

ReeVay is the moniker of the multi-talented Marc Rivest. The Vancouver based artist gracefully weaves the finest elements of folk, jazz and pop. His tender yet evocative voice poetically delivers his handwritten lyrics. His work is simultaneously soothing, powerful and transformative. It’s easy to get lost in the rich tapestry of sound he has generously created. He combines complex jazz arrangements with simple harmonic structures that are endlessly captivating. ReeVay sang his way into Vancouver from on a moving train back in 2015. Born and raised

in the greater Toronto area, Marc's musical journey began with piano lessons as a child. Switching to the guitar at the age of 13, he never put it down. Marc's career as a performer began with busking outside grocery and liquor stores. After relocating to Calgary in 2013, he was able to make busking a well-paying full-time job. After the release of "Breathe," Marc decided to advance his musical training through a Diploma in Jazz Studies at Capilano University. While at Cap U, Marc studied jazz guitar and voice with instructors including Bill Coon, Ron Samworth, Andre Lachance, Geordie Roberts, and Steve Maddock and performed in the Capital Jazz vocal ensemble under the direction of Rejean Marois. He graduated with distinction in May 2018.

ReeVay is now a staple to the Vancouver music scene. His perpetually evolving material has been recognized by impressive radio and publications across the province. Leah Barley

Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Leah Barley offers stirring original songs that evoke both the jubilation and heartbreak inherent to classic folk and country music. An accomplished banjo player as well as guitarist, Barley creates a sound as affecting today as it was a century ago.

Her first full-length album Bring Out Your Dead, released in October 2020, almost perfectly balances Barley’s light-and-shade approach to songwriting. It’s all a product of Barley’s love of old-time country and bluegrass, which inspired her to pick up the banjo in her early twenties while living in Canmore, Alberta.

After a couple of months getting her feet wet at open mic nights, she released the first of three EPs in 2010 after moving to Vancouver. Since 2013, Barley has played in many parts of Canada, both solo and with other bands on the festival circuit, and was a featured performer at JUNOfest 2018, as well as on CBC Music.

Bring Out Your Dead will brilliantly serve as Leah Barley’s calling card, and formally mark the arrival of a vital new voice in Canadian roots music.
