Eva Schubert
Eva Schubert is a singer and songwriter based in Vancouver, Canada. Inspired by jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone, blues icons like Etta James, and — perhaps improbably — Leonard Cohen, she writes in a diverse range of styles. Her first album, “Songs for a Ladies’ Man”, is full of songs with a classic jazz appeal. The album represents a partnership with producer Paul Claxton, whom she credits with a significant degree of mind reading, and a great deal of creativity.
Sarah Kennedy
Montréal-based, Vancouver-born jazz vocalist, and songwriter, Sarah Kennedy performs as a solo artist and as a bandleader. Known for her light and smooth vocal tone, her depth of emotional expression, and a cunning sense of humour, Sarah has performed in the TD international jazz festival and was interviewed by CBC's hot air for the 100th birthday of Ella Fitzgerald. During the pandemic she completed her Masters in Creative Arts Therapies at Concordia University in Montréal and incorporates music therapy perspectives into her performances.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
