Based out of Vancouver, B.C. Canada, Alexa Berard is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/ songwriter. Her music is a blend of folk and rock with grungy undertones. She has scored for podcasts and student films. Recently, Alexa composed music for a Metis podcast called "Beading Together" hosted by Lisa Shepherd, and student films "Pollen" directed/ written by Mia Martinez, and “I Love U” directed/ written by Brandon Stewart. She is currently working on her first solo album set to release in September 2023. She has played in a number of bands and is often hired for session work. At Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Alexa majored in music on saxophone and studied under Julia Nolan. Previous studies were with the Juno Award-winning saxophonist, Campbell Ryga. Aside from music, Alexa is an actress and has made a few appearances on popular TV shows such as Deadly Class, as a guitar-playing hippie at Wood Stock, The 100, as a Musician in a post-apocalyptic scene. She was also a murder victim in a true-crime documentary, and most recently, a wedding guitarist on the TV show Virgin River. The 2nd Floor Gastown offers Live Music DAILY, open during Dinner Service from 6:00pm to 10:00pm 7 days a week and 11:30am to 2:00pm Saturday & Sunday for Brunch. There are two sets offered for each show; reservations are for one set. Guests may seat for both sets depending on availability and manager discretion.
