Songwriter, singer, and pianist Mai Garnica, based in the unseeded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, hails from the unseeded Querandi Nation (La Plata, Argentina). Seamlessly blending rock, Argentine folk, and Latin elements, Mai, as a person of color and an immigrant, passionately shares her cultural sounds in these unseeded territories. Collaborating with like-minded artists, including guitarist Nadim Woolgar, she aims to convey a commitment to cultural diversity. Rooted in Argentine culture, their performances showcase renditions of classics by artists like Perota Chingo and Mercedes Sosa, delving into themes of "desarraigo" or uprootedness. Mai's emotive compositions and introspective lyrics create a transcendent musical journey resonating across borders.

The 2nd Floor Gastown offers Live Music DAILY, open during Dinner Service from 6:00pm to 10:00pm 7 days a week and 11:30am to 2:00pm Saturday & Sunday for Brunch. There are two sets offered for each show; reservations are for one set. Guests may seat for both sets depending on availability and manager discretion.
